Our Mission

If we value healthy soil, healthy plants, and healthy animals, then we need to take action here and now. No taking without giving.

What does this mean? It’s about using our practical skills to care for the future, for otherwise there will be no long-term future, but only short-term profits.

Soils are the base, and if we make a mistake with them it’s fatal. The Landcare NZ Team have a passion for helping, coaching, encouraging and training – doing whatever is needed to improve the health of New Zealand soil, especially in regards to some toxic and harmful practices. Our old ‘clean, green NZ’ image is no longer true.

OUR VISION FOR YOU

  • Offer your expertise. There will be opportunities for more Team members to join us, especially if your experience is in training young people in agriculture or if you are qualified in Biology or Organics or other Environmental areas. Landcare NZ needs your knowledge.

  • We need to involve young people – they are our future.

  • If you take, make sure you give.

  • City folk – you are involved as much as the rural people. We all need to support healthy land use to produce healthy food.

  • Of course all change needs funding. See the donation form if that appeals to you – all gifts will be chanelled towards youth development and training.

  • Book a video meeting with a Team member on your special interest. Or advertise on a video or the website for a fee.

  • Share our passion, and you will help save our soil!
